Welcome to a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Trujillo, Spain—Restaurante Dos Orillas Trujillo. Located at Calle Cambroneras, 6, this inviting eatery presents a unique fusion of traditional flavors and modern dining experiences. The ambiance is perfect, with a charming courtyard that provides a serene atmosphere, ideal for savoring an exquisite meal.
As I entered Restaurante Dos Orillas, I was immediately captivated by the attention to detail. The lush greenery and the historic background of the hotel courtyard made for a delightful setting. Here, the warmth of the staff complements the surroundings, creating a feeling of home away from home. Their enthusiastic service is consistently praised, as highlighted by diners who have found a welcoming smile at their arrival.
The menu reflects a careful curation of regional dishes, elevated to gourmet standards. While choices range widely, the exquisite goat cheese drizzled with white truffle olive oil provides a sublime appetizer to any meal. Driving the meal to splendid heights, the locally sourced ingredients shine through, signaling the chef’s commitment to quality. Reviewers have raved about the avocado salad paired with homemade gazpacho and grilled gambones, each bite evoking the flavors of the region in new and exciting ways.
One dish that deserves particular mention is the delicately presented beef carpaccio with parmesan. Combining freshness and flavor, it leaves a lasting impression on the palate. And let’s not forget about dessert—the cheesecake here has become an instant classic, moving beyond traditional recipes to become a highlight unto itself, often described as “out of this world.” Whether served in a charming tin or elegantly plated, it embodies the essence of indulgence and creativity that characterizes Restaurante Dos Orillas.
However, no restaurant is without its quirks. Some patrons have noted inconsistencies in how dishes are prepared, including a rare steak not cooked to requested specifications. But even in light of these minor hiccups, the overwhelming response from customers like Jose R. and Ted Wan reflect an unyielding confidence in the establishment's potential and its efforts to provide a warm space for culinary exploration.
In essence, Restaurante Dos Orillas Trujillo is more than just a place to eat; it's a delightful escape into the world of fine dining. With a commitment to serving quality food in a picturesque setting, it's a must-visit for locals and travelers alike. Don’t just take my word for it—immerse yourself in the experience and discover why this hidden treasure has captured the hearts of so many.

We asked for medium rare steak, but they served it rare. We ask to cook it more, but they brought us rare again. Also weird for such price (28€) to have couple of chips as side dish The place itself is charming.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! Absolutely delicious food and excellent service! Such a special restaurant! And the courtyard is several degrees cooler than outdoors. The cheese cake was out of this world!

Very nice restaurant in the courtyard of a quaint hotel. Food was of very high standard, and is a facier version of traditional food from the area. Service was warm and impeccable. She helped us pick out some very good glasses of wine as well, even though we didn't speak Spanish and had a bit of difficulties communicating.

Superb restaurant in the old center of Trujillo. I was welcomed with a smile by a professional and enthusiastic team who made this improvised lunch one of the best food experience I’ve had in Spain. The patio is simply stunning. Filled with gorgeous plants who give a nice colour contrast with the old tower in the background. This cosy terrace can be both in the sun or shaded depending on the hour of the day. Before my food arrived I was offered a local goat cheese served with white truffle olive oil (delicious!) which I tasted with a local red wine, 3.70€ per glass Then an avocado salad with a homemade gaspacho and grilled « gambones ». Wonderful. Followed a delicately presented carpaccio of beef with parmesan. Succulent. The cheesecake revisited for desert completed this wonderful meal. More than a lunch, it was a real and unique culinary experience. I highly recommend.

My faith has been restored in the restaurants of Trujillo.. stunning setting, lovely staff and fantastic food! A tucked away gem of a place to eat. Small menu (Always a good sign) and was told I would have to wait for the chef to cook what I had ordered.. (even better sign!). I almost do not want to tell you about it as I want this gem to myself! ok.. go on then, you must try it! And that is a cheese cake in a tin and it was great!

I can’t recommend this place enough. The food was excellent. The gambas are a must have. And the cheesecake is incredible - it’s far and away the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. The flavor and presentation were top notch. The staff went above and beyond to help us have a good night. And finally the ambiance is beautiful - lush plants are in the courtyard and it felt like a little oasis in the city. Highly recommend!
